Health & Safety
Coverage, safety, and how we work on site.
Construction work carries real risk. SIG Construction maintains WSIB coverage and contractor liability insurance for the work we undertake in Ontario, and we treat safety, documentation, and cleanup as part of a professional job — not extras.
Coverage you can count on
Insured for the work we do in Ontario.
Homeowners, property managers, and construction partners should be able to confirm that the crew on site is covered for the work in front of them. We keep WSIB and commercial liability current and matched to the project, and we share documentation when a contract or lender requires it.
We do not list license numbers or certificate IDs on this page. Those documents are issued for a specific project and date, and they are provided directly when they are needed.
WSIB coverage
Active Workplace Safety and Insurance Board coverage supporting safe, compliant work on Ontario jobsites.
General liability insurance
Contractor liability protection aligned with the restoration, envelope, and carpentry work we perform.
Project documentation
Coverage details and certificates can be provided to owners, property managers, lenders, and trade partners when requested.
Job-specific protection
Additional coverage is arranged when the project scope or contract requires it, before work begins.

Ontario contractor standards
Clear scopes. Responsible crews. Documents before work begins.
General liability insurance protects against third-party injury and property damage claims tied to the work. WSIB coverage supports workers if they are injured on the job. Together they are the baseline for a crew that should be on an occupied property.
When a project needs extra protection — higher limits, additional insured status, or coverage written to a specific contract — we arrange it against that scope rather than assuming a generic policy is enough.
Request coverage documentsSafety & professionalism
Professional from the ground up.
The habits behind good construction are not glamorous: insurance, documentation, PPE, and a tidy site. We treat them as non-negotiable on every project.
Safety-conscious crews
PPE, fall protection, and daily site checks are treated as part of the work, not an afterthought.
Professional equipment
Lifts, dust control, and the right tools for the assembly — matched to the job rather than improvised on site.
Written project scopes
The work is documented before construction starts so owners and crews share the same picture.
Clear change orders
Scope changes are priced and approved in writing. No silent extras at the end of the job.
Photo documentation
Progress photos help everyone see concealed work, existing conditions, and close-out details.
Clean job sites
Staged materials, daily cleanup, and respect for occupied homes and commercial properties.
One point of contact
A single team accountable from estimate through walkthrough, so questions do not bounce between trades.
Insured for the work we take on
Coverage is kept current and matched to the project so partners can move forward with confidence.
Before work starts
Ask for the paperwork that matches the job.
A useful first conversation includes the site, the scope, and any insurance or safety requirements from your lender, property manager, or general contractor. Share those with the estimate request so the right documents can be prepared.
